  • anti-VSU Rally [108 files]

  • 28th April, 2005, the National Union of Students organised a 'National Day of Action' to show the support that people had for the anti-VSU movement. Over 6000 people turned up in Sydney, with more rallies across the nation. While this may not turn heads in the top levels of the Coalition Government who's legislation poses a threat to the inclusive community that universities currently enjoy, it may go some way towards making the few small-l "Liberals" of the Liberal party and some National Party Senators grow some balls... and if WA's experience under VUS during the late 90's (as introduced by the State Coalition government there) is anything to go by - services across campuses will die and the community that businesses value in universities for helping produce the leaders of tomorrow will die.
